Hooking up over Pride?
Your local sexual health services have you covered! Trade Sexual Health work in partnership with local NHS provider, Leicester Sexual Health and Leicestershire and Rutland Sexual Health to offer clinics and services focused on LGBTQ+ sexual health needs.
All services are free and confidential.
CLINIC xtra
A weekly appointment clinic at Trade, for those who don’t have symptoms but wish to access regular sexual health testing, vaccinations, condoms and sexual health information and advice.
If you are currently accessing PrEP, you can have your quarterly screening with CLINIC xtra.

TnT
TnT is an LGBTQ+ substance harm reduction service run by Turning Point and Trade Sexual Health for people who live in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland who attend chills and engage in HnH/Chemsex play. You decide what you want from us, there’s no requirement to be substance free.

Self-Sampling Kits
Self-sampling kits are a quick and easy way to test for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
Your gender identity and the kinds of sex you have will determine which samples are requested as part of your testing kit. Samples can include a urine, blood, mouth, vaginal and rectal sample.

The main sexual health clinic in Leicester is the Haymarket Clinic on the first floor of the Haymarket Shopping Centre, LE1 3YT (opposite Primark).

The main sexual health clinic in Leicestershire is at the Loughborough Health Centre on Pinfold Gate, LE11 1DQ.
You can find their opening hours here – they offer a mix of pre-booked appointments and ‘queue & wait’ clinics, six days a week.
Good things to know
- Condoms help to protect against all STIs.
- STIs can be passed on through anal, oral and vaginal sex.
- PrEP is available for free, and protects against HIV.
- PEP is emergency medication that can be taken up to 72 hours after exposure to HIV to reduce the chance of becoming infected. This is available free from sexual health clinics (for sexual exposure) and the Emergency Department in hospitals.
- If you’ve had unprotected sex, it’s best to wait at least 14 days before testing. Learn more about the best times to test here.
