HIV Peer Support
Getting a new HIV diagnosis can be a shock. Your HIV consultant and nurses will offer you lots of information and advice. But, sometimes, you just need to talk things through with someone who been through it themselves.
Peer support team
Our HIV peer support team live with HIV themselves. They have been trained to help you live well with HIV. They can carry out a full assessment of your needs and tell you about support services that are available to you. They can help you identify achievable goals to move forward in life, celebrate your successes, and keep you motivated when life is challenging.
This service is mainly for people who have received an HIV diagnosis in the last year, but it is available to anyone who is struggling with their HIV status and needs extra support.
