Impact

The 2021 Census suggests there are approximately 26000 LGBTQ+ people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. There are also over 1000 people living with HIV in the area. In total, we worked with 5702 people during 2024/25 (a 20% increase on the previous year).

We provided information, advice and guidance about sexual health to 746 individuals in 2024/2025.

In 2024/25 we provided 150 hours of in-person health promotion outreach; as well as, 512 hours of online netreach on apps like Grindr (a 180% increase on the previous year), engaging with a total of 432 contacts through these outreach sessions.

Since January 2024, we have expanded the capacity of our counselling service by over 300% to meet demand.

Since April 2024 we have trebled the number of social and support groups we host.
